Why does Mist add stuff to my hosts file? You must be a VIRUS!

Mist will add several lines of text to your hosts file to prevent confirmed trojan sites from intercepting your stream for re-reporting to Punkbuster and Steam. Other functions of these trojans include interception of your Mist login information, your favorites and bookmarks, Internet Explorer history, online bank information, and credit card redirection. It's a sad fact but about 25 percent of Mist users first tried out public or another pay site. It's these customers that are likely infected with these custom trojans and these customers we need to protect. In short, these programs will attempt to steal valuable information from our users. This is unacceptable. These edits are a precautionary method to protect your information from being hijacked If you're absolutely positive that you're not in that group of people and simply can't stand your hosts file altered you may simply disable host editing by marking your host file as "read only" in Windows. However, due to the prolific nature of several of these viruses we sincerely hope you'll choose to err on the side of caution and let Mist do it's job.
